Keyboard(Input device)

The role of a keyboard in a computer is to be a input device. The keyboard is used by the user to access to type instructions into the computer to be used to complete task. For example you would use a keyboard to type into documents to complete a tasks for work. The keyboard can also be used to enter shortcuts into the computer for example Ctrl+V to paste. They are different variants of keyboards such as mechanical and digital keyboard.

Monitor(Output device)

A monitor is an output device in the computer that displays the results of computer processes to the user. The monitor or another kind of display is needed in computer system so the user to navigate through computer and receive information from the computer, without a display of any kind computer are pretty much useless for most tasks. Some example of a use of a monitor is to show the out put of an input, for example if you were to type on you keyboard to type into a document it would show the result of that process of that on the monitor. A example of a disadvantages of a monitor is that it's not very portable meaning it can be difficult to taking some where else other than your workspace. Also most monitor need to be plugged into a power outlet.

(Input device):

A microphone is input device that can be used for many things. Firstly, a microphone is mostly used for voice chat online and of course the microphone is used you are able to communicate with the other person whether it be for work or for fun. Also a microphone can be used by people with physical disability with prevents them from being able keyboard. voice recognition software would be used to allow the inputs from the microphone to navigate and use the computer. A disadvantage with using a microphone would be that if you were using voice reconition software it may not be effective due to external thing like background noise and accents.

(Input device) 

A joystick is input device in a computer system that can be input command to the computer. Joysticks are mostly used for gaming on a games console or a PC to input command to control you character in the game. But some disadvantages of a joystick is that if you were to use it for other thing on a PC for example it much less effective at that job compared to other input devices such as a mouse. Also even on games console there are other controllers available that are much better in most case when compared to a joystick, A example would be the playstation dualshock.

Headphones(Output device)
Headphones are an output device that outputs audio to user. There are many advantages of using headphones along with your computer system, For example an obvious one is that it allows the user to hear audio from audio files that they would otherwise be unable to hear if you had no other audio devices(Such as speakers). This of course is needed for many people wish to have voice calls with others for work or for leisure, also audio is needed for most entertainment such as video and video games.A disadvantage of headphones would be that overuse of them along with audio being put out at an highier than needed volume can cause permanent hearing loss/damage.
