Communcication software
Communication
VoIP: VoIP(voice over internet protocol) could be used by organisation to communicate with fellow employees in the organisations and other people who are involved with the company in some way (like a supplier). VoIP would allow them to do this as i allow people to communicate with audio with a microphone over the internet. The only requirement is that both people who wish to communicate will require a stable internet connection if they wish to communicate with each other smoothly.device will also have to follow certain protocols if they wish to communicate with other devices using voice over internet protocol. Some example would be H.323 and SIP, the latter of which is for mobile devices and all device in the call must have SIP software and a SIP address if the wish to communicate with each other. As well as this H.323 and SIP are not compatible. Somes example of VoIP software which could be used by an organisation are Skype and discord.
Instant messaging: Instant messaging is a type of communication that is done on WWW and usually provide on specific application or built in to websites on the WWW. Theses application work by the user entering a message they wish to send to other user/s then the message is sent direct to the other user/s via a mail server and the message is show to then via the cleint. One limitation of most instant messaging application is that they all use they own proprietary form of communication methods. This means it will highly unlike you be able to message anyone who has a Instant Messaging application.
SMS(Short messaging service): This is a form of communication that unlike other communication method SMS is limited to 160 characters and uses cellular network. When sending a message the data will go through Phone lines, telecommunication towers, SMSC(short message service centre) and when the data reaches the location where the phone is the data will be sent to the phone via a control channel (This control channel is also in constant communication with nearby telecommunication services so the location of the phone on the cellular network is know so it's know what cell site to transfer any needed data to.)
Email: Email can be used by a organisation in many ways from simply commucating to between employees, supplier etc, or other allowing you them to organise events, work on project easily. Email works by sending the email to a mail server hosted by the ISP who providing the person internet connection. when sending a email to a ISP's mail server SMTP(simple mail transfer protocol) will be the protocol used. But, when the recipient accesses the email a different protocol will be used to get the email off the mail server, This protocol will be version of POP(post office protocol) most likely POP3.
